At Fort Dance, we believe dancers grow best through consistent training, intentional mentorship, and meaningful performance opportunities, not months spent preparing for a single recital.
Rather than centering our season around one large production, we prioritize year-round growth, technical development, and artistry inside the classroom. This allows dancers to continue progressing consistently without losing valuable training time to recital preparation.
Our Foundations Program (ages 2 to 5) will conclude the season with a simple, joyful end-of-year showcase celebrating all they’ve learned throughout the year.
Dancers seeking additional performance opportunities are invited to pursue placement within Fort Dance Company through an evaluation process. Company dancers may participate in conventions, competitions, community performances, creative projects, and an end-of-year concert.
We also believe performance experiences should feel purposeful and worthwhile. Families are not expected to purchase expensive costumes that are worn once, and dancers are not pulled away from weeks of training to rehearse for a single performance.
Our goal is to create a healthy, artist-driven environment where dancers can train consistently, perform meaningfully, and develop a lifelong love for dance.
