Fort Dance
Fort Dance Solo Company: a flexible company experience for dancers seeking individualized coaching, focused training, and competitive solo opportunities. Now accepting members through December 1. Requirements: a minimum of 3 hours of weekly training at Fort Dance; 1 to 2 private lesson hours per month for solo instruction and cleaning; participation in two required competitions and one required convention weekend; additional competition and convention opportunities available. Investment: training tuition beginning at $185 per month; $45 monthly Solo Company fee; private lessons $60 per hour, typically 1 to 2 per month; $30 audition fee; choreography, costume, convention, and competition fees are additional. The company at Fort Dance is an evaluation-based training and performance program for dancers ages 5 to 18 seeking deeper artistic development, focused mentorship, and meaningful performance opportunities.

Built upon a training-first philosophy, Company dancers are encouraged to grow not only as performers, but as thoughtful, disciplined, and versatile artists within a supportive and encouraging environment.

At Fort Dance, we believe strong dancers are developed through consistency, curiosity, intentional training, and healthy mentorship. Our goal is to create a space where dancers feel challenged, inspired, and genuinely connected to both their training and their community.

Evaluations & Placement

Company placement is evaluation-based and designed to help determine the best environment for each dancer’s growth and development.

Evaluations may take place in private or small-group settings in order to create a more personal and supportive experience for dancers and families.
