Lexis Hernandez
Hip Hop & Latin Ballroom Instructor
Lexis Hernandez began her dance journey at age seven and has spent nearly two decades immersed in the dance community as a performer, educator, choreographer, and mentor. A DFW native, Lexis trained extensively in hip hop, ballroom, and commercial styles before beginning her teaching career at just fourteen years old.
Throughout her career, she has taught and choreographed across schools and training programs throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth area, sharing her passion for dance with students of all ages and experience levels. Her professional experience includes performing and choreographing for a Dallas-based pro league dance team, as well as developing choreography for competitive dancers, community performances, and special events.
Known for her high-energy classes, encouraging teaching style, and ability to build confidence in young dancers, Lexis brings a unique blend of technical training, performance experience, and real-world industry knowledge to the classroom. In addition to teaching, she continues to create and produce choreography throughout DFW while inspiring the next generation of dancers through both education and mentorship.
At Fort Dance, Lexis will be teaching Hip Hop and Latin Ballroom, helping dancers develop versatility, confidence, musicality, and performance quality in a supportive and challenging environment.
